Pediatric Speech Therapy

Speech and Language Therapy

At Compass, our patients conduct screenings, evaluations and treatment for a variety of areas:

  • Speech/phonology

  • Receptive language

  • Expressive language

  • Social communication/pragmatics

  • Fluency

After an evaluation is conducted, the patient will receive individualized therapy using evidence-based approaches. Therapy sessions are fun and effective with family involvement encouraged.

At Compass, we believe that our patients do best when everyone collaborates to work as a team to help the child.  Therapy is provided for a variety of diagnoses, including, but not limited to: stuttering, expressive language disorder including social communication, receptive language disorder, apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and speech disorders.

Therapy will address improving speech, fluency, functional communication (including alternative and augmentative communication), language use and understanding.
